BIOGRAPHY

Fiona was born and bred in Norwich and is a first-time county councillor. She has spent the last few years gaining her doctorate at the University of East Anglia, where she has studied history and politics. She now lectures there in early modern history. She has also previously worked in research and project management. Her main roles in the council are cultural which tie in with her interest and expertise in history, especially the history of Norwich. She hopes to be able to bring this to bear on her work with Cultural Services in future, enriching our local culture and heritage environment.

  • Travel - especially visiting relatives and friends abroad

  • Cinema - I try and go as regularly as possible to see new and foreign language films

  • Exercise - gym, aerobics and running whenever I have a spare moment

  • History - visiting our local sites of interest

FAMILY LIFE

Fiona is married to Howard, a chef.
